New Electronics Industry Award Named After Company Founder

MALVERN, Pa. — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announces that Dr. Felix Zandman, founder, chairman, CTO and business development officer, has had a new award named after him by the Electronic Components, Assemblies & Materials Association (ECA). The Dr. Felix Zandman Award was officially presented on March 20 at the CARTS (Capacitor and Resistor Technology Symposium) event in Palm Springs, Calif., in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of CARTS USA.

Dr. Zandman has published four textbooks and many scientific papers, and holds numerous patents in the U.S. and abroad. His honors and awards include the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA) Medal of Honor, the Order of Merit for Research and Invention (France), the Distinguished Contribution Award from the American Society for Stress Analysis, the Franklin Institute Medal for Science, the Best Strategic Investor Award from the Israel Manufacturers Association (awarded by the president of Israel), and the Legion of Honor (awarded by the president of France).

Winners and subsequent winners of the Dr. Felix Zandman Award are selected based on technical accomplishment, outstanding service and dedication, academic achievement or support, and industry leadership and vision.
