Ventec International Group Grows U.S. Technical Team with the Appointment of Mark Nemecek

Ventec International Group, a world leader in the production of polyimide & high reliability epoxy laminates and prepregs, today announced the appointment of Mark Nemecek to their United States technical team.

Mark Nemecek joins the US team as Technical Sales Engineer and will be providing engineering support activities to Ventec’s growing US customer base. Mark is widely recognized for his strong track record and over 30 years’ experience with material and chemistry aspects of the printed circuits industry.

Mark developed his extensive knowledge of PCB base materials during his 7-year employment at Polyclad Laminates – a manufacturer of laminate and prepreg materials to the PWB and electronics packaging industry - first as Technical Service Engineer and then as Process Engineer. His in-depth technical understanding of Ventec products was built through his role as Technical Manager at Global Laminates where he oversaw all technical aspects of the introduction of the Ventec product line to North America, set up and maintained the prepreg fab operation, sheeting, tooling and packaging at the Global Laminate’s warehouse, and defined & policed all corresponding operational procedures.

Among his previous roles, Mark worked on a plating line for Photocircuits and holds a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. He has also completed Lean Manufacturing training.

Day 2 of the EIPC Winter Conference at the Groupama Stadium in the Décines-Charpieu region of the Metropolis of Lyon in eastern France included a privileged visit to the Bugey Nuclear Power Plant for those who were registered and passed their security clearance. Such was the interest that the party was split into morning and afternoon groups. EIPC board member Martyn Gaudion, CEO of Polar Instruments, made a fine job of moderating Session 6 twice over.

The EIPC Winter Conference returned to the Metropolis of Lyon in eastern France this month. In 2018, the venue was Villeurbanne in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Five years later the setting was the Groupama Stadium in Décines-Charpieu, and leaders of the European printed circuit community gathered in expectation of a spectacular programme of 16 presentations, a visit to a nuclear power station, and an invaluable networking opportunity. They weren’t disappointed.

Nolan Johnson hears from Alun Morgan, Technology Ambassador at Ventec, and Mark Goodwin, Ventec’s COO, about the benefits and risks posed by new PCB-oriented legislation in the U.S. and Europe. Faced with a rapidly consolidating industry, especially in the face of mounting pressure from the Russia-fueled energy crisis, government intervention is a welcome prospect—as long as legislators are committed to addressing the full scope of the issue, including the supply chain’s migration to Asia. Ventec is hopeful that, having been called on to educate government officials on the challenges facing the industry, they will help spur future legislative changes that will protect and grow the industry’s interests.
